AI Data Annotation for Teams Building AI in Japan
Machine learning models learn from labelled examples, and someone has to do the labelling carefully. We do that work remotely from Chittorgarh, India, for AI teams that need more hands than they have. We have no Japanese office, and we work in English.
Japan has strong robotics, automotive and manufacturing teams that need images and sensor data labelled. If that is you, we would like to start with a small pilot batch, so you can judge the quality before you commit more.
Our main page for this service: AI Data Annotation.
What we label
The work we do falls into a few types:
- 2D and 3D bounding boxes for images and video
- Polygon segmentation for images that need exact outlines
- 3D LiDAR point clouds
- Multilingual speech transcription, with timestamps and review
Labels that do not depend on language
Bounding boxes, polygon outlines and LiDAR labels depend on the labelling guide, not on the language of the people doing them. That makes image and point-cloud work the easiest to start with from here.
Japanese speech and text are different. We do multilingual speech transcription, but we will not claim Japanese until we have looked at your sample and decided honestly whether we can cover it.
A written guide with pictures
For images, a labelling guide with many example pictures, including the awkward cases, saves the most rework. We write the guide with you, in English, and update it as questions come up.
Keeping your data private, and how a pilot works
We agree who may see the data, and sign an NDA, before the first file is shared. Images of faces and number plates can count as personal information under Japanese law, so tell us before sharing and check with your adviser.
You send a small sample. We agree the guide, label the batch, and you check the result. Only then do we talk about volume.
Frequently asked questions
Do you have an office in Japan?
No. Our registered office is in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, India, and we would work with you remotely, over video calls, screen sharing and chat. We have no staff in Japan. We would rather say that now than have you find out later.
Do you label Japanese text or speech?
Tell us exactly what the data is. We do multilingual speech transcription, but we will say plainly whether we can cover Japanese after looking at a sample. We will not claim it before then.
Can we start with a small batch?
Yes, and we recommend it. A small pilot shows you the quality and shows us whether the labelling guide is clear.
How is our data kept private?
We agree who may see it and sign an NDA before the first file is shared. Tell us about any special handling your data needs and we will say whether we can meet it.
How much does annotation cost?
It depends on the data type, the volume and how detailed the labels are. We quote after seeing a sample.
Send us a sample
A small sample and a description of the labels you need is enough to start. Call +91-86194 70448 or email contact@gtsltd.in. Japan is 3.5 hours ahead of India all year, so your afternoon is our morning and midday.
