Where German rules change the build
Software in Germany often meets rules that general tools skip. E-invoice formats such as XRechnung and ZUGFeRD are becoming a requirement for business invoices. Payroll, working-time records and tax have rules of their own.
Do not assume Zavik or any ready-made tool covers German payroll, invoicing or tax. Ask us, and we will check before we say yes. If it needs custom work, we will say so and scope it with you.
Data protection and your works council
The GDPR applies, and Germany adds rules of its own. If the software records employee data, a works council may need to be involved before you use it. That is a question for your HR and legal advisers, and we build with it in mind. We do not give legal advice.
Tell us before we choose hosting if the data must stay in the EU. The large cloud providers have regions in Germany, and we say plainly what we can arrange before you commit.
How we work across the border
We scope the work in writing, show you progress every week and test before anything goes live. You receive the full source code, and for 30 days after launch we fix problems at no charge.
Frequently asked questions
Do you have an office in Germany?
No. Our registered office is in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, India, and we would work with you remotely, over video calls, screen sharing and chat. We have no staff in Germany. We would rather say that now than have you find out later.
Can we use Zavik as it is?
Zavik is our own hosted business platform, with HR, sales, finance, inventory and purchasing under one login. Whether it fits your German payroll, invoicing and tax needs is something we check with you first, not something we assume.
Can you produce XRechnung or ZUGFeRD invoices?
Tell us the format and the software the invoices go to. We check what the current requirements are and say plainly whether we can take it on, instead of assuming.
Who owns the software you build for us?
For custom projects you do. Source code ownership is part of what we deliver. Zavik is different: it is our own product, used as a hosted service.
