Testing from India for teams abroad

Outsource QA Testing to India: What You Get and How It Works

Many product teams outsource part of their testing. A launch is close, nobody has time to click through every page on every browser, or the person who built a feature is the only one checking it. We are Global Technology Solutions, based in Chittorgarh, India. We test websites and web apps remotely for businesses in India and abroad, and we have no office outside India.

This page explains what outsourced testing covers, what you receive, how it works across time zones and what testing cannot do.

Our main page for this service: Web Application Testing.

When outsourcing testing makes sense

Outside testing does not replace your developers’ own checks. It adds a fresh pair of eyes on the finished work. It tends to help when:

  • A launch or large release is close and your team is busy building
  • The people who built a feature are the only ones testing it
  • You need Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge checked on laptop and phone-sized screens
  • You want automated tests that run again before every release
  • You want an outside view before customers find the bugs

What we test

The exact list depends on your product. A typical round covers:

  • The main journeys, such as enquiry, sign-up and checkout, from start to finish
  • Forms, links, menus and pop-ups
  • Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, on laptop and phone-sized screens
  • Payment flows in the payment gateway’s sandbox only. We never run real payments
  • Basic accessibility, such as keyboard use and readable contrast
  • Page speed and load time, using Lighthouse
  • Common security mistakes from the OWASP Top 10, such as cross-site scripting and injection. A full penetration test is a separate service
  • The APIs behind the product, if you want them included

What you get back

A bug list with the steps to reproduce each issue, a screen recording where it helps and a note on how serious each one is. Tell us where your team tracks bugs, such as Jira, and we write the list so it can be pasted straight in.

When your developers have fixed the bugs, we test again. We also say in writing what we covered and what we did not.

Manual testing and automated tests

Manual testing finds problems a script would not think to look for, such as a confusing screen or a button that is hard to tap. Automated tests repeat the same checks on every release without extra effort.

A common order is to test by hand first, then automate the journeys that matter most. If you buy automated tests, written with tools such as Playwright or Cypress, you get the test code too.

How it works across time zones

You send a test link and a short description of what the product should do. We agree the scope in writing, then test during our working day and send the results in writing, so they are waiting when your day begins.

For a team in the US, a bug found in our afternoon reaches you before your morning. After your developers fix it, we retest in our next working day. Tell us the deadline when you send the job, and we say plainly whether we can meet it.

The exact gaps for each country are on our offshore development page.

What testing cannot do

Testing shows bugs. It cannot prove there are none. We say clearly what we covered and what we did not, so you know where the risk remains.

We test what runs in a browser and what we can reach with test accounts. If something is outside what we can check, we say so before you commit.

What we need from you

To start, we usually need:

  • A test version of the product, not the live site, if you can
  • Test accounts for each kind of user
  • A short description of what the main screens should do
  • The browsers and devices your customers use most
  • Your deadline

Frequently asked questions

Can you test a product you did not build?

Yes. You give us access to a test version and a description of what it should do.

Do you test on real phones?

We test on phone-sized screens and common browsers. Tell us which devices your customers use most, and we will plan around that.

Can testing prove there are no bugs?

No. Testing shows bugs. It cannot prove there are none. We say clearly what we covered and what we did not.

How fast can you turn a round around?

It depends on the size of the product and the time difference. Tell us the deadline when you send the job, and we say plainly whether we can meet it.

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes. We sign an NDA before you share anything sensitive.

Can you add automated tests too?

Yes, with tools such as Playwright or Cypress, if you want them kept for later changes. You get the test code too.

How much does outsourced testing cost?

It depends on the number of pages and journeys, and on whether you also want automated tests. We quote each job in writing after a short call.
