API Load and Performance Testing: Find the Limit Before Your Users Do
An API that answers in a fraction of a second for one user may crawl or fail when a hundred use it at once. Load testing shows you where that point is, before a sale or a launch finds it for you.
We test APIs remotely from Chittorgarh, India, for businesses in India and abroad.
Our main page for this service: API Testing.
What a load test measures
The numbers we report:
- Response times as the number of users grows
- The point where errors start
- Which endpoint is slowest, and what it is waiting for
- How the system recovers after the load stops
Making the test realistic
A useful test copies what real users do: logging in, browsing, ordering, not hitting one address a million times. We agree the scenarios with you, then raise the load in steps and watch what happens.
Rules we follow
We prefer a test environment that matches your live one. We do not run heavy load against a live system without your written agreement on the timing. Services run by other companies, such as payment gateways, are never loaded in tests.
What you receive
A report showing response times against load, the point where errors began and the slowest endpoints, with advice on what to look at first.
After your team has made changes, we run the same test again, so you can see whether they helped.
Frequently asked questions
What do you need to start?
The API documentation or a request collection, test accounts, and the load you expect, for example at your busiest hour.
Can you also test the website?
Yes, we test the user-facing side as well. Tell us what you want covered.
Will it fix the slowness?
The report shows where the slowness is and gives advice. Fixing the code is a separate job, which we can quote.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the number of scenarios and endpoints. We quote in writing after a short call.
