Where Australian rules change the build
Software for an Australian business often has to handle GST on invoices, superannuation, and payroll reporting through the ATO's Single Touch Payroll system. Not every off-the-shelf tool was designed for these.
Do not assume Zavik or any ready-made tool covers Australian payroll, super and tax rules. Ask us, and we will check before we say yes. If it needs custom work, we will say so and scope it with you.
Where your data lives
The Privacy Act and its Australian Privacy Principles cover many businesses, and some industries have extra rules. We do not give legal advice, so ask your adviser what applies to you.
Tell us before we choose hosting if your rules say where data may be stored or sent. It is far easier to plan for it at the start than to move a live system later.
How we work across the time difference
We scope the work in writing, show you progress every week and test before anything goes live. You receive the full source code, and for 30 days after launch we fix problems at no charge.
Frequently asked questions
Do you have an office in Australia?
No. Our registered office is in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, India, and we would work with you remotely, over video calls, screen sharing and chat. We have no staff in Australia. We would rather say that now than have you find out later.
Can we use Zavik as it is?
Zavik is our own hosted business platform, with HR, sales, finance, inventory and purchasing under one login. Whether it fits your Australian payroll and tax needs is something we check with you first, not something we assume.
Who owns the software you build for us?
For custom projects you do. Source code ownership is part of what we deliver. Zavik is different: it is our own product, used as a hosted service.
Can the new system connect to Xero or MYOB?
Connections to accounting tools are something we scope per project, and they depend on what the tool's interface offers. Tell us what you use today and we will say what is realistic.
How much does custom software cost?
